Course navigation can be streamlined for user ease of use. Please refer to the guide for more information. Course templates included a link to school resources and general course navigation options including teacher resources of Grade Sync and New Analytics.

The Do's of Course Navigation

There are suggested ones to always be available for student access which include:

Announcements
Grades
Modules and/or Assignments
Syllabus

In addition to these, please consider apps and course-level links that you use regularly such as:

Course textbook
Canva for Education
Office 365
Study Mate

Recommended for teacher's use and are not visible to students:

New Analytics
LockDown Browser

These are the ones we recommend disabling from the student view:

People
Outcomes
Rubrics
Any supplemental app or textbook that is not relevant to your course

We also recommend Alphabetizing the list for easier navigation between courses for students and families.

The Don'ts of Course Navigation

Since this is the access portal for your course, we recommend keeping it as clean as possible, so don't add everything unless used regularly. Consider checking it from student view and get a feel for what they are seeing. Many students are accessing your course from a smaller screen than you might typically use, so real estate on the screen is important. You can always adjust your course navigation from Settings to enable and disable features as you need them.
