The 8th grade social studies curriculum focuses on American history from the First Americans, exploration and discovery of the Americas, the colonial period, American War for Independence and the American Revolution, the Constitution, developments in the early republic, westward expansion, the events leading to the Civil War, the Civil War and Reconstruction.
