Course Description
This class is for students who have completed 6th Grade Beginning Orchestra or who have prior experience playing a traditional orchestral string instrument. This class performs more advanced concert literature. Through this course, we will continue to explore the elements of reading music, proper playing techniques, proper practicing techniques, positive individual participation in a group-focused class and how to enjoy music beyond the classroom walls.

Required Materials
Good quality instrument and accessories in working order
String Basics Book 2 for your instrument
Pencil for each rehearsal and home practice
Music stand, for home practice
Concert Attire – IMS Orchestra polo shirt, nice black pants, all black socks and shoes
