This course is an integrated Language Arts and social studies course. In LA this year students will study

language, literary and writing techniques using the texts outlined below. This content will often be connected to the Social

Studies content where we will study Civics (American government) first semester and the history/culture of Africa and Asia

second semester. Please review the expectations below as we will cover content that has multiple perspectives. As such students

will need to be engaged and respectful as we learn the skills of civil discourse and discussion.
