Advanced Police Forensics/ Police Forensics 3 is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) course designed to expose students to additional methods of forensic criminal investigations. Students will build on their previous experiences in Police Forensics 1 and/or 2 to further their exposure to the many techniques employed by Crime Scene Investigators, Forensic Scientists, Detectives, etc. The class will be taught through lecture, video and extensive “hands on” practical applications. Students will examine the legal processes from investigation through the presentation of evidence for a criminal trial. Students will perform the tasks of a crime scene investigator in both interior and outdoor crime scenes, as possible.
