In this Humanities Block course, sophomores will focus on refining analytical skills in reading, writing and thinking. With an emphasis in European literature, students examine a wide variety of themes. World History 3 studies the geographic, political, economic, social history of, and history of the 20th century. The course focuses on changes that took place during the 20th century and set the stage for globalization and the current world order. Contemporary World Studies, will allow an in-depth study of pressing global events and issues of the last half century, with a focus on political, economic and social history--and how that history is currently influencing the world we live in.
