    This class is offered to students who are interested in learning to play a band instrument. Through this course, we will explore the beginning elements of reading music, proper playing techniques, proper practicing techniques, positive individual participation in a musical ensemble and how to enjoy music beyond the classroom walls.

    Advanced Computer Science Topics & Projects is where students learn more Java topics as an extension of AP Computer Science A. Topics will include graphics, file processing, and Java collections data structures. The second half of the semester will be the projects portion, where students will work either individually or in a small team on the project of their choice.

    This class is for students who have completed 6th Grade Beginning Band or who have prior experience playing a traditional band instrument as determined by Dr. Eisenhauer. This class performs more advanced concert literature. Through this course, we will continue to explore the elements of reading music, proper playing techniques, proper practicing techniques, positive individual participation in a musical ensemble and how to enjoy music beyond the classroom walls.

  • AP COMP SCI A:A_Stutler_S1

    AP Computer Science A introduces students to computer science through programming. Fundamental topics in this course include the design of solutions to problems, the use of data structures to organize large sets of data, and the development and implementation of algorithms to process data and discover new information. The course emphasizes object-oriented programming and design using the Java programming language.

    STEM Sampler – In this exploratory class, 6th graders will be introduced to pre-engineering, coding, and digital media concepts and will design and create projects in our school technology lab. This course will be a great introduction if they wish to expand their knowledge or go onto more advanced CTE electives in grade 7 and 8.
