THEATRE ART 1 A_Fry_S1
This class explores a wide variety of areas that make up theatre. While the focus of the course is on acting/performance and its principles/techniques, the course also examines related topics including improvisation, theatre history, directing, design, theatrical traditions, the International Phonetic Alphabet, and ensemble building. It is expected that, although students are not required to participate in extra-curricular theatre, each student of this course is in attendance once at each Skyline High School Production (Fall Play, Winter Play, Spring Musical). Content: An Actor's Warm-Up Improvisation Pantomime Monologues & Scene Development and Performance Theatre History, both Eastern and Western Traditions Directing Design Production Critique

MATERIAL SCI A_Fox_S1
This is a lab science class dedicated to the study of metals, ceramics/glass, polymers/plastics and composites. Experiments will be done to demonstrate the effects of different stresses and strains on each of these materials. Students will also be given the opportunity to apply the knowledge learned from underlying scientific principles to experiments and projects, several of which can be taken home!
