Teaching our students good health and safety principles can lead to a lifetime of healthy practices, resulting in more productive, active, and successful lives. The Essential Academic Learning Requirements in health and fitness establish the concepts and skills necessary for safe and healthy living, and in turn, for successful learning.

Welcome to Advanced Language Arts 7! I am excited to get to know you and guide your growth about yourself and the world around you. Throughout this course, we will use the workshop model to focus on reading, writing, speaking, and communication skills. In this class, you will work to analyze literature, such as novels, short stories, poems, and more. Instruction is organized into units that include reading and analyzing novels, and writing everything from essays to short stories. The key to success in this class is participation, keeping a growth mindset, and showing up. I am excited to see us all succeed and thrive in this classroom together.
