    This 6th grade Social Studies course has been designed to integrate social studies and critical thinking skills and communication. We will explore a variety of essential questions to learn new content and find connection between class work and the global world (current events). The 6th grade social studies curriculum focuses on ancient civilizations. Along the way, we will examine how seemingly unrelated events are linked, discuss current events and ponder the importance of selected quotes, data and events.

  • INTERM ORCH A_Schumacher_R1

    Course Description This class is for students who have completed 6th Grade Beginning Orchestra or who have prior experience playing a traditional orchestral string instrument. This class performs more advanced concert literature. Through this course, we will continue to explore the elements of reading music, proper playing techniques, proper practicing techniques, positive individual participation in a group-focused class and how to enjoy music beyond the classroom walls. Required Materials Good quality instrument and accessories in working order String Basics Book 2 for your instrument Pencil for each rehearsal and home practice Music stand, for home practice Concert Attire – IMS Orchestra polo shirt, nice black pants, all black socks and shoes

  • PRE-CALCULUS A_Sedlacek_S1

    This course is an in-depth study of polynomial, power, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. This course is designed to prepare students for college level calculus.
